Georgios Papaioannou, PhD
Senior VFX Artist

Hello, my name is Georgios Papaioannou (professionally known as frameworks). I am a visual effects artist and director whose work resides at the intersection of engineering and cinematic artistry. My professional trajectory is built upon a rigorous academic foundation, having earned a PhD in Finite Element Analysis from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. This background provides a unique technical vantage point for my work in simulations and visual effects. Parallel to my doctoral research, I maintained a dedicated practice in independent filmmaking and computer graphics—a pursuit that achieved critical acclaim in 2011 when the feature film Super Demetrios was awarded the Audience Award and the Michael Cacoyannis Award at the 52nd Thessaloniki International Film Festival. In 2012, I was honored with a Fulbright Scholarship, facilitating my transition to Los Angeles to study at the Gnomon School of Visual Effects. Since returning to Athens in 2013, I have focused my career on two primary pillars: a) providing remote vfx services for high-profile international productions and leading VFX studios. b) managing comprehensive generalist visual effects for the local market.

I am committed to bridging the gap between technical precision and creative vision. Please feel free to reach out for professional inquiries or collaborative opportunities.
